Kai Girard has been a Wilderness Field Instructor since 2006.  He leads youth courses into the back country in rafting, mountaineering and rock climbing.  Kai tells us that though organized classes get the information out there, “the human experience where you are held accountable at a high standard by nature itself really makes the lessons stick.”   He has worked courses in ten states and three countries.
