Yoga and Meditation is part of the daily curriculum at Living Wisdom High School (LWHS). Teens do yoga, meditation, and energization exercises from 30-45 minutes at the beginning of each day at the high school.
I think that yoga has affected me in a lot of good ways. I almost always feel calm and nice after yoga or meditation.

The daily periods of yoga and meditation help me to clarify the whole day, it helps me to focus and helps me with self-discovery. During yoga, I can send light into the spots that hurt and that helps through the whole day to learn to be still. Meditation provides me with clarity and peace for learning.

In the morning we have yoga and meditation. Im feeling really good because Im more awake after this. Its really silent here; I think its better for learning. Its a different school where you can make new expressions.

Meditation helps me calm down and start the morning that way. I love doing deep relaxation because it helps me focus my mind. During meditation, I sometimes go into a deep sort of non-conscious feeling, like the whole world is spinning and it suddenly stops. Its nice and warm, like swimming in a lighted pool with the warm water sliding over my body and the light twinkling and shining on every part of my being.

Energization Exercises helps me think better during the day and they also make me feel better and not so tired.

I like yoga because it helps my energy. I try to meditate but I sometimes have trouble calming my mind and slowing down my thoughts. If I cant concentrate, I talk to God about whats going on in my life and ask him to help me with certain things like temper, not to argue, and other things.
