The question often arises, With all your
other activities, how do students find time to cover the basic
academic subjects? The answer lies at the heart of Education
for Life. When the full range of student needs is being
addressed, there is a natural enthusiasm for all of life, including
academics. Conversely, when academic goals are emphasized at the
expense of physical, emotional, and spiritual health, there is
a tremendous waste of time and resources. Students who have attended
Living Wisdom High School have been accepted at such institutions
as the University of Colorado, University of California, Dominican
University, St. Marys College and Naropa Institute, to name
a few. We cover the normal college entrance requirements: 4 years
of math and English; 2-3 years of science (biology, chemistry,
physics); a foreign language, etc.
The three years my daughter spent at Living Wisdom High
School were
some of the best years of her life. She got to travel and study
in Italy, sing
in an international choir, and practice meditation in India. Plus,
she aced
her academics and received a full scholarship to the college of
her choice.
